What You Digest Is What You Become
A reminder that the information you consume and process on a daily basis shapes your thoughts, beliefs, and ultimately your actions.
I have been thinking a lot these days about how I got to where I am, and where am I going in the future. The phrase "you are what you eat" is a common expression that suggests the food you consume has a direct impact on your health and well-being. However, when it comes to personal growth and development, a similar idea can be applied: "what you digest is what you become."
In other words, the information you consume and process on a daily basis shapes your thoughts, beliefs, and ultimately your actions. Whether it's the books you read, the people you surround yourself with, or the media you consume, all of these inputs have an impact on who you are and who you will become.
For example, if you constantly consume negative news and media, you may start to develop a pessimistic outlook on life. On the other hand, if you surround yourself with positive and motivated individuals, you may become more inspired and driven to achieve your goals.
The concept of "what you digest is what you become" also highlights the importance of being mindful about what you expose yourself to. By actively seeking out positive and informative content, you can cultivate a more optimistic and growth-oriented mindset. Start to pay attention to the little things that might be rubbing off on you. Notice how you can really change your feeling, and mindset by removing things that might be holding you back or bringing you down.
Ultimately, the idea that "what you digest is what you become" serves as a reminder to be intentional about the information you consume and the influences you allow into your life. By doing so, you can take control of your personal growth and development, and become the best version of yourself. Listen, it’s not going to be perfect, but you have more control then you may realize. I hope this inspires you to add some positive influence to your life!
